Our Mail Carriers' Busy Week!

Our last Kabbalat Shabbat of the year!
Thanks for teaching us some Yiddish, Cantor Ken!

We had our final Hebrew day with Rivi and Ziv. We will miss our Israeli emissaries!
Looking at the inside of a mail truck.
We saw the different routes that mail/packages are organized into.
We met a mail carrier that sometimes delivers to our school! His day starts at 4:45 am.
Mary let us try out the chair she uses while she goes through the mail in the mornings. This takes her 2 hours to do!

We looked for incoming mail coming through the "stamped letter" slot.

We will miss you, chickies :(

After reading the poem "A Bug," by Aileen Fisher, we worked together to create our own bug! Just like the bug in the poem, we made sure our creation also had 46 feet.

"A Human is Like a Tree" and this week's newsletter

A Human is Like a Tree
(A collaborative poem written by the Hitah class)
We grow and trees grow.
Trees fall and we fall.
They have branches.
We have arms.
They have leaves.
We have hair.
Our mouths drink.
Their roots drink.
Our feet keep us up.
Their roots keep them up.
We have different textures.
Trees can fall. We can fall.
We help each other.
